Project plan
Future plans
Our future plans will be developed in conjunction with the educators at Kipevu school, but some of the future projects may include: fixing the well for the school, repairing their latrines, improving their library, improving learning resources for students, repairing their roof, finding stable funding for their school lunch program, and improving the playing area for their students.
School exchange trip
Students from both schools will be teaching each other about their cultures. Teachers will exchange lesson ideas, students will assist in lessons.
English
Part of the role of the students will be to develop short activities to do with the students.
Physical activities
One area in which Stratford Hall students wish to educate the students of Kipevu is communicating without words. Students will learn how to theatre-related exercises involving the myriad of ways humans use tools other than their voice to communicate and idea or emotion. In return, we hope that the Kipevu students will educate our students about what dramatic productions in Kipevu look like.
The Wall
Our major project for the school right now is to help support the building of a security wall around the school. This is so that any other improvements for which we fund-raise will stay with the school and to improve the overall safety of the school. We've raised $57000 for this wall so far, and we expect them to finish the wall this year. You can view a photo gallery of the images here.
Here is a presentation which talks about how our project will hopefully unfold.
